After your Annapolis chin augmentation procedure: Recovery and Results
Everyone recovers from a chin augmentation differently. You may have some discomfort and a bit of swelling. Any pain should be easily controlled with medication, which the doctor will prescribe, and/or a cold compress. In five to seven days, you’ll return to one of our offices to have the stiches removed.
Most people are back to desk work and most other activities in a week or so. You’ll need to sleep on your back with your head elevated for a week or two after surgery to help control any swelling and protect your incisions. You’ll see your final results after about three months, when all of the swelling has subsided.
A chin augmentation is permanent. And while the aging process may affect your facial appearance, your chin contour will not change.
