Maryland Brow Lift

Brow Lift in Maryland
A brow lift is usually performed with local anesthesia and IV sedation in the outpatient surgery center at our ambulatory surgical center. Typically, an overnight stay is not necessary.
Incisions for a brow lift will start at about the level of the ears and run across the top of the forehead in the hairline. It is not necessary to shave any hair for the procedure. Forehead skin is then carefully lifted so portions of muscle and excess tissue can be manipulated or removed.

Forehead Lift Recovery and Results
Directly after a forehead lift, patients go home with their head wrapped in dressings, which are removed in one or two days. Patients should expect minimal post-operative pain, which can easily be controlled by prescription medication. Most swelling and discoloration will subside within two weeks and full activity can usually be resumed in two weeks, as well. Our nursing assistants also offer a complimentary post-surgical shampoo, which is designed to enhance the healing process.
Those choosing a brow lift should expect a reduction of wrinkles and drooping in the forehead area. The brow should appear more natural, younger and well rested. Frown lines that often appear between the eyes may be greatly reduced as well.
