The doctors at Plastic Surgery Specialists perform breast enhancement procedures on an outpatient basis with the patient under general anesthesia administered by a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in our ambulatory surgical center. An overnight stay is not necessary with this breast surgery.

These techniques include donut (with an incision encircling the areola), lollipop (an incision around the areola and down to the base of the breast), and anchor (adding an incision in the breast crease to the lollipop technique).

Immediately following breast lift surgery, patients go home with a light dressing and a support bra to help support and comfort the breasts while recovering. There will be minimal post-operative pain for a few days, which can easily be controlled by medication. Your surgeon will give you a list of post-operative instructions, which should be followed during your recovery.
