Lipodissolve in Maryland

Both women and men often find it difficult and even frustrating to try to dminish small, stubborn fat deposits in areas unaffected by exercise and dieting. That's why more Annapolis, Easton, Prince Frederick, and Severna Park residents are becoming interested in Lipodissolve in Maryland. Lipodissolve, also called mesotherapy or injection lipolysis, reduces localized fat deposits performed with injections formulated to dissolve small regions of fat cells in areas of the body that may be difficult to reshape through weight loss alone.

Lipodissolve is ideal for men and women who want to reduce the appearance of cellulite, benign tumors (lipomas), fatty deposits under the eyes, chin, and arms, love handles and areas around the abdomen, lines between the nose and the corners of the mouth, and unsightly folds in the buttock area that can be hard to firm up through diet and exercise. Many prefer lipodissolve in Maryland because it's a non-surgical alternative to liposuction, which requires hospital admittance, general anesthesia and a recovery period.

To find out if this procedure is appropriate for your specific goals, contact any of our board-certified plastic surgeons today. We are always happy to address questions or concerns involving lipodissolve or other body contouring options in which you may be interested.

Lipodissolve Procedure

Lipodissolve involves microinjections of various medicines and vitamins into the middle layer of skin over the affected area, causing the existing fat to emulsify, dissolve, and be flushed from the body. After this unique type of body contouring in Maryland, the fatty acids are then slowly reabsorbed by the lymphatic system and cleared from the body over a period of weeks by the kidneys and liver.

Typically, people choosing facial lipodissolve require 2 to 3 treatments of the affected area to achieve optimal results, while a few more treatments may be necessary if targeting larger areas of the body. We encourage patients to wait 4 to 6 weeks between injections.

Lipodissolve Recovery and Results

Both men and women will feel slight discomfort in the treatment area and may experience itching and light bruising after receiving lipodissolve. There also will be a slight burning or tingling sensation for 15 to 30 minutes, along with redness and mild swelling, which can last for up to 48 hours. No recovery time is necessary following lipodissolve, so normal activity can be resumed immediately.

Patients who receive lipodissolve at Plastic Surgery Specialists will notice a firmer, more contoured body or face. About 75 to 80% of patients who choose lipodissolve have a significant, visible reduction in fat deposits. Due to the nature of each individual's response, specific results cannot be guaranteed with this kind of body contouring. However, any results achieved are permanent.

For optimal results, patients are advised to follow a sensible diet and exercise regularly to prevent new fat deposits from forming. Lipodissolve is not designed to be used as a weight loss program.

Other Body Contouring Procedures

Lipodissolve may be performed as a standalone procedure or in conjunction with the VelaSmooth™ treatment for cellulite reduction.
